Pressure

Sometimes it's just too hard to handle the daily duties of myself. I feel very overwhelmed a lot, because I have brought so much onto my plate in the past year, juggling all of my responsibilites and priorities.

-Im taking the max 18 hours if school
-I have two demanding Internships that require work & assignments due on a regular basis
-Im working 25+ hours per week at my job, which keeps me out until at least 11 pm each night and slaps me with sleepyness
-And then you have to take the buku bills that I have to pay, seeming to take all of the money that I earn at work. [guh-reat]
-Not to mention the regular problems that I handle with CAU, who loe to screw up my money. And the fact that I'm stressin over graduating early & what not.

I think I'm doing too much. Maybe I should slow down, but realistically I can't. I can't quit my job, qui my internships & put my middle finger up to CAU & dip.

-Oh, but it would be glorious if I could, and be wisked away to a beach with blue water & white sand, and do something I haven't done in ages... RELAX.

Love.

Back to School Blues && Goals

I know this might be a little late, but I like to think that this blog was just marinating for all of you. But now I think it's ready to be published.

no worries though, I'm still working on this AMAZING blog about what it takes to be the baddest. It's in progress.. bear with me, man. It's coming.

Another year at Clark Atlanta University and another year of learning, living and enjoying Atlanta with all of its bullshit.

I can proudly say that i am not 100% excited to start another year of schooling. There is nothing wrong with the instiution itself, well except for how they always seem to screw up money that belongs to me, but that is another blog in itself. I simply just do not enjoy going to class and listening to someone talk for more than five minutes while I take notes on their every word. I enjoyed my summer interning and getting the hands on experience and freedom to write what I wanted. I just feel like the hands on experience I got is worth so much more than what I am getting from a classroom that apparantly is costing me $30,000/ year.

my expression in the last paragraph in no way is swaying my decision to stay in school, because best believe I will graduate and get my degree and potentially move onto a higher education: Graduate School. I have the mentality that I will succeed in what I do and I have all intentions of moving forward with my career. Depending on where it takes me will determine when && where i will attend Grad School, but it will happen.

I feel like I've grown so much over the past few months living in Atlanta. It's crazy how much more independent you become when your mother cuts off your money supply. But it did nothing but help me, so thanks ma :) I know I can live comfortably with the money I earn myself, and need no extra help from anyone. Rent, food, clothes, gas, bills, etc. Paid for. *BAM, POW, BLING, BURR* [Gucci!].

Whatever you want to call it, I made it.

i feel like.

My summer has been pretty productive. I feel way more independent now, too.
Like, I finished my sophomore year in college (WOOT!), I didn't go home for the summer (WOOT WOOT!), got my own apartment in MY NAME, kept a job and juggled an internship while taking a few vaca's because of all the stress, and managed to spend some ample time with my bitties inbetween.

I am a multi tasker.

I'm lowkey ready for school to start too, because the sooner it starts, the sooner I can learn something new to upgrade my writing skills, and the sooner the school year will be over again and I can chill and be the baddest with no homework.

:) I really do love my life, and I am truly blessed to be given all the opportunities I have encountered and only God has been the one to ultimately help me through all the BS that has gone down this summer.

I feel like I've grown.
and I kinda like that feeling.

FYI

I feel like I need to let all my friends from back home know what the real deal is real quick. Don't worry, this will only take a minute. You guys can take it how you want it, it's up to you, but I'm already tired of explainin myself 75483754732 times to 758748675 different people every single day.

All I have been hearing is, "jess!, when are you coming back to dallas? we need to hang out i havent talked to you in so long!".

Number one. I'm not coming home this summer. Sorry for ya. I have a good job out here, an apartment, and a wonderful Internship with a magazine. I believe after reading that last sentence you will realize that I am following my dreams right now, which is the initial reason that I came to Atlanta in the first place. So, why would I go home to Dallas? to chill with you guys? I mean, that would be really fun and cool, but I would be doing NOTHING productive with my talents, besides working at Nick's again. (love you stan, but no siir).

Number two. If i have not talked to you in months, why are you all of the sudden BLOWING UP MY PHONE asking me when I'm coming home. Why do you all of the sudden care now about how I have been and want to hang out so bad? I don't have enough minutes in the day to let you know how my entire school year has been, becuase I haven't gotten a call from you in six months or more.

I hate it when dudes really start calling again from home when school is out, hella excited to see me, but I aint talked to them in dumb long. You were NOT thinking of me on jan. 22, march 19 or april 10th. [random days], I mean, thanks for the bday wishes on april 14th, but you just started thinking of me May 9th when school let out. nice try, but you will not get NO play.

I love living out here in Atlanta, and wherever my career takes me is where I will be. I still love my friends from back home so much, but if we don't talk for a while, that doesn't mean that we aren't friends! It just simply means that we each have our own lives and have our own things going on.

no worries, you're still the baddest. just in another state. you all can come visit me whenever you want, it aint nothing but a phone call and a standby flight!

Love.
